Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt a lot about different technologies from creating my three products for a music magazine.These include different types of software including apple mac specific software such as 'Imovie' as well as using the typical programmes Photoshop and the internet for my research.
I used Photoshop to create my magazine and put it all together.Photoshop is very easy to use and is a quick process to learn how to use specific tools to edit and alter pictures and text.I used the lasso tool to highlight the background of the image and to delete the original background where the photo was taken.In addition I used many other tools such as the 'magic pen' 'colour picker' and used layers when editing my page in order to keep the structure clear and so I could delete only one aspect of the page if I didn't like it to save me from restarting the whole project.
I have never used the programme Blogger before as I didn't know how easy it was to use and how useful it is in presenting my work and showing how my skills have developed when creating my music magazine.I was able to pick up quickly how to upload all different types of files such as Youtube clips (embedding) and word documents and Powerpoint presentations.I would definitely use Blogger in the future.
I used 'survey monkey' when creating my surveys in which my focus group answered my questions to help me further with my research.I had to set up an account which was very simple which was also very efficient as it saved me a lot of time than producing a handwritten copy to which I would have to scan into the computer.
I used 'Prezi' to present both my research.This was a very good application as it was free of charge and a decorative way to present research which can be easily viewed by my audience as I embedded it onto a new post on my blog.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I think that existing magazines that have websites in which people can view whats inside 'this weeks' issue would distribute my product.Websites such as 'The Rolling Stones' and smaller independent companies such as 'Kerrang' as they are both popular however on is more mainstream and the other is independent which means i would maximise profits.
